The Clarence Harris Foundation was born from grief, love, and unwavering commitment to make sure no other family has to face what ours did.
Clarence Harris was more than a family member — he was a pillar of strength, a devoted presence, and a man whose warmth touched everyone around him. When he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, our family was devastated. When we lost him, we were changed forever.
What made his passing even harder to bear was knowing that prostate cancer, when caught early, has a survival rate of nearly 99%. Clarence's story is not unique. Thousands of men — particularly Black men — are lost every year to a disease that is highly treatable when detected in time
The Clarence Harris Foundation exists so that his name lives on in action. So that other families receive the information, the encouragement, and the resources they need to catch this disease before it's too late.
We provide clear, accurate, and accessible information about prostate cancer -- risk factors, symptoms, screening, and treatment — so men can make informed decisions about their health.
Through community events, outreach programs, and partnerships with healthcare providers, we bring prostate cancer awareness directly to the men and families who need it most.
Black men face a disproportionately higher risk of prostate cancer. We are committed to closing that gap through targeted outreach, culturally competent resources, and advocacy.
Awareness without action is not enough. We connect men with screening resources, support networks, and healthcare providers so they can take the next step with confidence.
Every donation, every shared resource, every man who gets screened because of our work — that is Clarence Harris living on. Help us continue this mission.
